Employees arrested for defrauding customers of N11m

Two staff of YSR Restricted, a producing firm in Badagry, Lagos State – Adebayo Alabi and Kayode Timothy – have been introduced earlier than an Igbosere Justice of the Peace’s Courtroom for allegedly defrauding some prospects of the agency to the tune of N11m.

The defendants have been arraigned on three counts of stealing and forgery earlier than a Justice of the Peace, Mr. B.A. Sonuga.

The police mentioned the defendants had introduced themselves as house owners of the agency to their unsuspecting victims and promised to assist them mildew some machines.

They had been apprehended and subsequently dropped at the courtroom by a police prosecutor, Sergeant O. Harmless.

Harmless informed the court docket that the offences have been punishable below sections 278, 312 and 409 of the Felony Legislation of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused pleaded not responsible and elected abstract trial.

The Justice of the Peace, Sonuga, granted them bail within the sum of N500,000 with two sureties every in like sum.

Sonuga requested the prosecutor to confirm the sureties’ residential addresses and proof of tax fee to the Lagos State Authorities.

The case was adjourned until January 31, 2017.
