Gunmen suspected to be Ijaw youths from Ogbe-Ijoh neighborhood within the Warri South West Native Authorities Space of Delta State on Saturday night attacked the patrol staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service. They injured one and picked up two rifles belonging to the operatives of the NIS after a gun duel.
Our correspondent learnt that an operative of the Marine Police workforce who rushed to the scene to rescue the officers additionally sustained a gunshot damage on his hand through the assault which lasted for over half-hour at about 6:40pm on Saturday.
